    1972 911 sunroof repair

    Hi,
I have recently gotten a 1972 911 with a sunroof. The sunroof operates but makes a lot of noise, does not "pop up" at the end of the closing cycle, and does not stop when opening or closing, just grinds on. Any diagnostic thoughts?
We are about ready to start putting together a parts list to repair it. We have read the technical posts in Pelican re the new guides, etc.

Any tips or specific instructions anyone can pass on would be appreciated. Parts needed list? Any way to just fix what we have or is a total rebuild best?

    Thanks,
    Marc

Here is some info that was very helpful for my 356 golde sunroof which should be very similar.

    See if it helps.
