    FS: Original Sonauto decklid plate

    Very rare original sonauto decklid plate, very nice patina, came from a low miles aluminium decklid, €400 shipped.

    Where would this have been mounted? On my French delivered car there are two small (~1mm) holes centered between the license plate lights about 92mm apart. I’ve always assumed there was some sort of plate mounted there at some point. It was likely removed when my car was painted at Sonauto in 1987-88 but there holes still remain.

    Hi Nick,

    yes the Sonauto plate is located between the two licence plate lights, do you still have the Sonauto logo on the deck ?

    Despite the fact that the Sonauto badge was on my car when I bought it in 2005 I decided against reattaching it to the deck lid as it was when Scott repainted the car in 2020. I did not like the aesthetic of it and I wanted the holes filled, which we did. Instead, I attached the Sonauto badge to a license plate frame as seen below:
