    Best distributor/coil for 2.5

    Guys
Building a 2.5 with DC 30 cams and Italian webers that Paul restored and tweaked for engine.
What’s best solution for the distributor ( not for racing ) but able to be tuned for max performance.
Also whats best solution for coil.
Not interested in the 123 ignition
    Thanks for ideas/recommendations
    Regards
    Frank

Any reason you don't want to use the stock ignition pieces?

    Hi Frank

The 2.5 (70.4x86) I built for last year uses a rebuilt 2.2 distributor with the PatsKlassic coil and Bosch CDI. Seems to run just fine.

    123 Ignition
I have almost the same specs as you, just using JE pistons. I am at 9.5:1. I built my 2.5 out of my 2.4 motor. I used the stock 2.4 distributor, with an S rotor (curves were same for S, T, E for the 2.4) - rotors were different to allow for different redline. I absolutely love my 2.5 - I debated the DC30 vs the DC40 a lot and am extremely happy with the DC30. Also using stock ignition (coil and Ashlock rebuilt CDI).

I've tried the PartsKlassic coils and had 2 coils fail.

    Guys
Spoke with Henry @Supertech mostly on The bird …he suggested the 123ignition and after some additional research am really Starting to like the setup. Has great reviews works with 3 pin CDI and can be tuned ( with phone ,notepad etc) to best suite engine variables.Anyone here using?

Your correct….have not seen a dyno graph published.
As I am more old school can’t quite fully commit to 123ignition
Have you done any evaluation on this setup ?
    Thanks
