Claudius allowed me to post the pictures of his linkages, also as he tried to compare the color on the linkage with the RAL chart.
As soon as we will try to photograph it, the white balance of the cameras will automatically differ it from the visual eye impression,
so it is really difficult to judge and determine.

    in his word:
"The poles of the 2nd series have a slightly bluer tone than the later ones.
All pictures with the color table are attached to the linkage of the 2nd series.
Actually, no RAL tone really fits."

Please someone chime in on the color issue.

    Concerning the technical part.
There are pictures of the 2nd and 3rd execution.

    Hello,
I am disassembling the wiper mechanism from 300090.
All parts of the mecanisme are the same color.
Here are some pictures of the linkage.
I cleaned it with soap and water.
The closest color seems to be RAL 7042.
    Regards,
    Philippe
Question / remark: the plastic ring seems to have been melted in the linkage (red arrow last pict)

    Phillipe,

thank you very much for the very informative pics of your wiper linkage.
And interesting to see, that there had been really different shades of gray in use.
Interested mind wants to know, but well , we never find out why…maybe the usual:
„…this is what we had that very week….“ or they produced deliberately in different shades in order to do a trace back to the production year/month/week…

    Attached the picture of the
    2nd execution with RAL 7030.

If anyone had more on the theme:
wiperlinkage , please feel free to chime in..

I have some input for you. My $.02

Version 1.0 was with circlips (like 300090)
Version 2.0 was with unique clip and cut outs is the zinc / unpainted linkages
Version 3.0 (and 4.0) could not longer be taken apart.

Version 1.0 was one color, version 2.0 was two tone. There might have been a combination between 1.0 and 2.0 regarding the clips or two tone.

The rebuild kit with clips for 2.0 can be obtained from Stoddard
