    FS: RHD 1973 Porsche 911 S Targa

    SOLD

I have recently listed my RHD 1973 Porsche 911 S Targa for sale on Trade Me in New Zealand, it is one of only 46 RHD S Targa’s imported into the UK and it's believed less than half still exist today. There are currently only 2 known in New Zealand. If anyone has an interest, please contact me.

good luck with the sale Phil
so it looks like there are 2 ex UK 1973S targas for sale in NZ at present - yours and the light ivory one 0698 that seems to have sold for $324,500 a couple of weeks ago
From the photos yours looks nicer than the Light Ivory one and seems to have an ask $100,000NZ less

    Hi Hugh, thanks for that.
I was almost ready to list my car when I saw 0698 coming up for auction and decided to wait to see what happened. That car has an older restoration where as my car has never been restored and is what I like to call a drivers car, it will need some work down the line so have factored this into the sale price. It was a hard call to make to sell her after enjoying her for 24 years but I have to make room for my new project (66 911 RHD sunroof car) so the time feels right now to move her onto a new owner. Cheers Phil

    Hi Phil

I had one of the 6 Aussie RHD 73S Targas, 5 are still in Australia but after being concours restored by me it was sold to the UK some years later, hopefully not rusting away over there.

    Good luck with the sale

    Hi Clyde

Thank you for your post. I was especially interested to read there were 6 Australian delivered RHD 73S Targa's, add this to the 46 UK delivered cars and that would bring the total production to 52 RHD cars worldwide (unless there were other RHD's delivered new to other destinations). I believe there were none delivered new in NZ. In your view, would you agree with these numbers ?

    Just For the Record . . .

    . . . I believe the highest price paid for an Early 911 --- excepting the McQueen Car . . .

    . . . was for a '73 RHD 'S' Coupe -- ex-Richard William Hamilton . . .
