    Vent window adjustment, what am I missing

    I am in the process of doing the final assembly of my doors and playing with the vent windows. Due to a plating mishap I lost the original vent window frames for my car.

    Assembling the frames it looks like I have a lot of clearance between the washer on the vent window and the bracket. I assume this was shimmed to give some pre-load? The way I have things assembled is:

    - Lock ring
    - Aluminum cup washer with the cup facing towards the window so it covers the lock ring
    - Flat washer
    - Thinner adjustment washer not yet installed

    What am I missing here?
