No you refer to the early recaro seat which is sometimes wrong referred to as "r" seat. the "R" Seat is a scheel 300 similar to the ones above

I own an original scheel 911R seat - but I won't sell it. if you can't find a replica, i could offer you a 1968 scheel bucket seat in near NOS quality. the optics don't correspond to the 1967 R-seat, but at least contemporary and ORIGINAL it would be a possible solution. if you are interested pm.

    regards uwe

With all due respect to Stefan, I had occassion to own a GTS Recaro "R" seat at the same time as a Vintage Seats Recaro "R" seat. The seat in the picture below has the Vintage Seat on the left and the GTS seat on the right. As for accuracy, the Vintage Seat was far and away the better choice. That is not to disparage GTS, just to say that as having owned both I feel I'm qualified to share my opinion.

Yes, based on your picture, it does appear that the GTS version of the Recaro Rallye 1 is less correct than the VintageSeats version. I have seen two cars installed with Scheel 300 style made by GTS and they looked good. I have never compared reproductions with other reproductions and/or originals so not sure about accuracy.

    Your experience with Vintage Seats?

For those of you that have worked with Vintage Seats, can you please provide a review and share your experience - either good or bad? Were they easy to work with? Was there fast communication? Did your seats arrive on time? How was the quality?

    Thank you!
