Thread: The Fuchs Guy

Would not recommend - long story but quality control and transparency are a definite problem.

I am also having to get my wheels refinished by Harvey.

Sounds like a case of good, cheap and fast.

Good and fast is not cheap

I have had nothing but good experiences with Peter I have never sent him wheels to refinish just bought wheels he had for sale that were refinished.

He used to post on here a lot but have not seen anything from him for ages.

I spoke to him last year, he retired. Probably one of the nicest people I know. His sidekick was planning to continue on the business but haven't heard back since. I'll keep everyone posted. He did a beautiful job on my Fuchs for a very reasonable amount and short amount of time.

I spent two years trying to get a reply from Harvey. Sent my wheels to Fuchsrestoration and he did a great job. 9 out of 10 if Harvey is a 10. He got them back to me in less than a month. Email and phone response too.

Peter did these flat6´s for me. Absolutely stunning work and a pleasure to deal with. I think he got the anodizing spot on.

For comparison here is mine down by Al Reed back in 2017. Tried to use Harvey but at the time I was worried about the wait. Only thing that annoys me about both of these refinishes is that they are painted were the Lug nuts seat (not great for torqueing). For others they may not care but I will take an old lug and valve lapping compound and see if I can strip it.

Anyone use "The fuchs guy" for anodizing yet?
