    964 Through Bolts

    Hi guys I'm sure most people with a 964 might have experienced this problem at some point,How big of a job is it to get the Through bolts done and a rough cost on how much i would need to pay to get it done.My engine has always leaked a bit of oil so its now time to get the problem fixed.

    I did a lot of those. The engine has to be torn down to the case, cam tower, heads and piston & cylinders removed. I would do one bolt at a time. Late 993 engines installed “O” rings on 4 of the lower bolts at the parting line, that didn’t allow them to be resealed without splitting the case. It’s no small job on a 964 and additional work needs to be considered while the engine is this state of disassembly.
