Torsion tube / axle tranverse tube on a 1969????

    Hello,
I could need some help during a repair of a 911E Targa from 1969. Unfortunately, the rear axle transverse tube ends are heavily rusted and the tube has to be repaired with a sleeve. During the repair the bodyshop is facing some uncertainty. Actually, the chassis is fixed on a Celette, but it seems, that there is weird situation on my Targa from 1969. The dimensions of LWB is 1079mm (+ - 0.5mm)…. Would it be the same for SWB or the transsition year?

Does anybody know the correct tube length of a 1969 Targa?

Actaully it doesn't look totally right for me....

The repair should be done in this way. We will use the shorter sleeve....
