    Spitting Webers

Hi Guys, I'm running triple Weber IDA's on my '73 2.4. The engine was running sweetly, starting OK (without chokes, of course), idling and pulling strongly to max revs. However just recently the right bank of carbs have started to spit back noisily mostly when on part to minimal throttle. I am going to book the car into a known tuning garage to get this sorted but, big but, I'm off to Classic Le Mans in two days time and therefore there is no time to get the car into the garage before my departure. My question is have any of you folks experienced this carb spitting problem and could you offer any sort of fix I could effect before I head off to France.

First thing I'd do is check the float level, then inspect all the idle jets for a clogged one.

Ditto on the clogged jets. Easy fix to remove jets, air blow, look thru holes to make sure jets are clear, then carefully reinstall. Best of luck.
