Do You Own Property in California?

This is for California residents only.

You may be aware that some of the provisions of Proposition 19 (2020) put restrictions, penalties and limitations on the way in which real estate property can be inherited in California.

For example, because of Prop. 19, it is now more difficult and more expensive for children to keep the family home when their parents pass away.

The Howard Jarvis Taxpayer’s Association (HJTA) is currently circulating a ballot initiative to reinstate our inheritance rights so that real estate property can be inherited unencumbered, which was our constitutional right before Prop. 19.

For more information and to SIGN THE PETITION, please visit this link:

    https://reinstate58.hjta.org/

PLEASE NOTE: You must print and sign the petition with paper and ink. It’s not electronic. Then you must MAIL IT (snail mail) to the HJTA. They need to have the actual, physical petition for it to qualify for the ballot.
