    Scheel seat restoration in Europe

Back in February I bought a very nice pair of unrestored Scheel seats (300 and 100 fibreglass with headrests) and also an original pair of GT sliders from recarno and had them shipped to Stephan Springer for recovering in leatherette & black corduroy but since then I have not been able to contact Mr Springer apart from to receive a couple of fabric samples in the post. He does not respond to Whatsapp messages or emails and I have also found some negative reviews on Google about not him responding, poor quality of work, not putting defects right etc., despite him supposedly having a reputation for being the best seat restorer in Germany.

Recarno kindly took up the matter with him and called him on my behalf last week and he apparently apologised and said he would send me an email with an explanation but so far I have - unsurprisingly - received absolutely nothing.

I am therefore not convinced he is going to do my seats and I want to find someone else to do them in the UK or Europe. I believe there is another seat restorer in Germany who specialises in Scheels (Gerard? Gerald? - I have seen reference to him on various ESR threads but cannot remember his name) and would be grateful if someone could let me have his contact details so I can get in touch with him and arrange to have them shipped to him to do the work.

Thanks for letting me know Uli. It could yet work with Stephan if he would just communicate!!

Thanks for the suggestion - I'll try that but getting the seats out of Mr Springer's hands (or whereever he's put them for the past 6 months) is going to be the first challenge...
