Chevy HEI distributor in aluminum case 911 2.8

After a while of messing around with different ignition systems on my 911 powered 356 I decided to go a vastly different route. I sourced a brand new HEI distributor for a straight 6 Chevy and what do you know it fit! I then modified the shaft to adapt an early distributor gear (with proper spacing and backlash), modified my spark plug wire ends to fit the new distributor, modified the wiring harness a little bit to power the HEI unit and the car started right up! All you have to do is just look at the key menacingly and the car lights off perfectly.
I've tried MSD boxes but they are vastly superior as wheel chocks. With the new distributor you also get rid of having to adjust points because there isn't any! Plus theres a ton of aftermarket HEI modules for your application.
