How Many 64/65 911s Were Painted Silver Metallic (6206)?

Does anyone know how many “true” 64/65 911s were painted silver metallic (6206)? By “true” I am excluding from that number the 911s that were built after the factory closed for retooling at the end of July and reopened a month+/- later and started manufacturing the next MY cars, i.e., the 1966s.

My 66 was 6206 was it was special order. Outside of your search but might be a good data point later on.

as there are no statistics known to me to be available to answer your special question I may bring up the classic citation:

The October 1967 edition of Christophorus published a percentage breakdown of Porsche colors delivered in 1966:

    Light Ivory: 23.9%
    Polo Red: 18.7%
    Irish Green: 14.2%
    Sand Beige: 9.5%
    Aga (Dark) Blue: 8.7%
    Slate Grey: 6.9%
    Bahama Yellow: 6.5%
    Gulf (Light] Blue: 4.6%
    Metallic Silver: 3.1%
    Black: 3.0%
    All Other Colors: 0.9%

You can calculate this down on the MY 64/65 to get a good estimation…
    59 750 pre unit triton
63 650 gray silver bikinitub triumph thunderbird
70 650 astralred silver triumph bonneville
    65 912 slate gray "erwin"
    73 914 ravennagreen "ferdl"

Thanks, can you provide a badge photo? Notice how they are clustered? 300190 is a sure bet, and I think there are many more. They might possibly paint ten at one time in such a color to minimize the cleanup required between color changes.
