Convert LWB U.S. Turn Signal Housings to Euro Housings

I've mentioned this before but I thought it deserved a nag notice. A lot of us prefer the look of the Euro lenses on LWB turn signals and we go ahead and install them on U.S. housings. However the city light bulb is in the wrong place which has always bugged me. I was able to obtain some bare city light bulb mounts used in the Euro housings and I've set them up with proper connections so they are ready to install.

(Porsche rubber ducky to the first one who spots what's wrong with this picture.)

$118.00 for the pair - you will find them HERE

    Thanks for looking.

    Cheers,
    John

One ‘set’ down. Thanks, John. Had the Euro lens forever and knew the USA housings needed additional parts to be right! PayPal sent. cliff

I will probably take two. I have at least one housing that is white inside. It seems like it was manufactured that way ? What is its story ? Could you supply a picture of the inside of a Euro housing, maybe I already have some.
Also do you have a bulb holder for a fog or driving light type 139 .

I've seen a lot of original LWB turn signal housings and my impression is that some were silver and some were white. I think that there was a change in that span but I'm not sure when it occurred. Here's a picture of an original, notice that it also had a plastic or glass reflector. I think that may have varied also.

It looks like this one was originally painted white.

Here's a picture with the Euro city light bulb holder removed:

What makes this picture interesting is if you look closely you will notice that the bulb holder for the U.S. configuration on the other end is plugged.

I have a box of 139 bits, I'm sure I have a bulb holder. I'll take a look and PM you.

    front euro turn signals

    John
It turns out I have the Euro light bulb in my turn signals. I got these lights about 20 years ago in sealed boxes part number 901 631 937 00 and 938 00 and both had Euro Lenses. However both have USA formed as part of the metal of the light housing ? Picture attached. They only use 2 bulbs and the third opening is covered by a reflector, no bulb. Is this normal ?

Those are spot-on Euro housings. They look like they have always had a silver interior. These are also somewhat later as they have the drain hole toward the back. The questions for me are when were they silver and when were they white and when did the drain hole change positions?
