    Finally started on the interior. I've got the new power steering pump mounted, but still waiting on the rack & pinion conversion parts.

    Great looking truck, Arne. Looks like a fun project and shocking how much less expensive parts are compared to anything featured on this forum that starts with a P. I have a beautiful, low mileage 96 K1500 Chevy Silverado that turns head everywhere I go. It’s a great cruiser and I love it. Nick

    Yeah, parts are dirt cheap compared not just Porsches, but also to anything else I've restored. Gives some additional options, as I can easily decide to go farther than I normally might.

    Carpet is done, new seat foam and the rack & pinion arrive early next week.

    Since the last post, the seat has been completed, and the rack & pinion kit installed. One glitch there, the re-routed steering shaft interferes with the steering pump location. So I've regrouped and will be using a Volvo electric steering pump instead. Which won't arrive until next week...

    Awaiting a new aluminum radiator and electric fan. Took it out for a short spin yesterday to enjoy the last sun we're likely to see here for a week or so.
