    WTB: Weber IDA carbs

    Hi all,

Looking for a set of the Weber IDA carbs:

    40IDA 3C
    40IDA 3C1

Prefer the early ones with the S stamped in the front (correct for the first ~500 901/02 S engines)

Thanks Paul for your help and pictures:

    Hi Jesse,
    I have a set
    40IDA3C #4561
    40IDA3C1 #4542

    A9427B15-B5D9-4D21-A9B8-99791C8DE5A0.jpg

They have later production numbers than those posted by yourself and are complete with Top Hats, K&N air filters, Throttle linkage bar and new PMO manifolds,

I would have to check if the have the "S" stamping

Jesse, what does the ‘S’ stamping signify?

Not all '67S Type 901/02 engines had 40IDS carbs. The early ones had 40IDAs (until engine #960502).

Indeed, as to how I understood it, engine number 960001 till 960502 had adjusted IDA's (before the IDS carbs came). To mark the difference between normal IDA's and 'S' IDA's there was a small S stamped in the front of the IDA carb.

Thank you Jesse and Key911 for clarifying the 'S' stamp. Would the Weber IDAs with the 'S' stamping have the high discharge nozzles/squirters installed?

That is the main difference between IDA and IDS, it helped reduce burned pistons.
