Thread: Early Dogleg Shift Pattern Decal

    Early Dogleg Shift Pattern Decal

I found an old thread regarding the dogleg shift pattern decal that some have said Porsche supplied with the early 911s. I know that Porsche provided shift pattern decals for both the early and late 356s. For reference, I have attached the photos that accompanied that old thread. I have a couple of questions. First, did Porsche actually attach to the windshield a shift pattern decal on any of the 911s that came with a dogleg transmission? Second, is there a current source for these decals? If not, I would think that it wouldn't be too difficult to reproduce this decal. If anyone has an original of this decal, it would be nice to know its exact dimensions. And third, if the answer to the first question is yes and there is no current source for this particular decal, is anyone interested in getting such a decal for your car if I were to have it reproduced? Thanks.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.

Thanks for the information and leads. Elevenparts doesn't show any decals for any of the Porsches. I will keep you all posted concerning this project.

Thanks Scott! Are the dimensions approx. 36mm x 36mm? None of the usual vendors, etc. carry this decal. Perhaps you got the decal either directly or indirectly from the person who was selling them on eBay some 10+ years ago.
