I think this is Fred Göcken from Germany?
He bought a 911S engine from me couple years ago, a nice guy!

There must be someone with a 71 or early 72 car who wants better seats compared to standard don’t you think? The seats will also increase the value of your car big time.

    Have a good weekend. GLWS

Came from 73S? Single vs double lock? Although the date switch to double locking is in factory literature I have seen seats with single after so assume some inventory of seats were used up in Porsche frugal succession. If so probably in markets where the safety upgrades weren’t being driven by regulation. Or possibly deemed ok where the cars had the tunnels and sill (inner rocker) threaded mount (BS AU48 etc) rather than brackets on seat frame.

A super-cession point better discussed elsewhere but just occurred to me when looking at this FS listing description and photo.

Could be pre 72 consoles because they lack the provision for adding the second lock hardware. I know there are some outstanding reproduction consoles being built. Can’t say that I’d be able to tell them apart.
