    Antenna mount questions

    Guys
    Ready to install antenna…
My issue is the mast can’t fit past the plastic/cable to the gas filler lid ..
There’s not enough flex in the cable feed …..so can I just unscrew the cable end at the lid release mechanism and pull back
to front of dash knob …..then provode a longer milky white plastic sleeve and maybe longer cable to allow the mast to raise thru fender hole ?

Also confirming the mount for mast as a screw from inside fender thru captive nut on the mounting bracket
    As shown in photo

    Assistance is appreciated
    Regards
    Frank

I have solved …..removed pull for fuel lid and installed antenna first….
The cable to radio must be on top of latch pull setup..
Also must inset mast/slide into bottom circular mount before inserting into under fender and extend thru fender top
Then you can rotate the frame unit to align with attachment to back of fender hole for anchorage
