    Powder Coating

    HI,

I am preparing items for powder coating by a shop. There are some areas - on the trailing arms where the bearings will be inserted - for example where I don't want powder coating. Is this typically done by discussing with the shop, or do you also cover the area with tape or something similar? Thanks?

The powder coating shop will have the proper tape to use. Just show them where you don't want the powder coat. Don't powder coat where the bearings go and the trailing arm bushings and plug all the screw holes. They'll have plugs for that as well.
