    Adding Metal Inline Fuel Filter

I’ve got a ‘71 911E running MFI and I was thinking of adding a metal case auxiliary fuel filter inline between the chassis and the electric fuel pump near the left rear wheel. I’ve gone through the tank and flex lines but I’d like another filter to augment the engine bay filter.

Is anyone else running an auxiliary filter? If so, where did you mount it? Can I mount it ahead of the electric fuel pump without issue?

    Thanks!

Dirt in the fuel was a problem in the 60's and early 70's so Porsche designed the MFI cars with the large fuel filter , not really necessary with todays fuel , and a 2nd filter is truly not required .

I did it a bit differently and put a small inline filter up by the tank. This way it will protect the pump from any debris. I used one of these https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pr...sp?RecID=26776
