also uai, yes these are genuine recaros, not repops.
Believe me I noticed that picture shows the seats upside down The 67 Sport seats look much more narrow, some guys say boney, this is missing after the recovering. I think that the saddler used new bolsters designed for an after 67 seat and they do not fit correctly.

If that is the case than Tony/ Autobahn either didn’t do them or they are not 66/67?

Hello Richard, I do not know who recovered the seats, but I am quite sure that these seats are pre 68

i was assured these were in fact pre-68 (came out of a 67 car i believe) and that tony did do the restoration on this. i should clarify tho that the tilt base and sliders i bought separately.

Then I am very surprised regarding Tony’s work / result. It doesn’t make sense?

67 are more worth than 68
    Tony knows sportseats

Too bad Tony is not on the board to clear it up.

Look at the Pictionary this thread.

    https://www.early911sregistry.org/fo...-Sport-seat(s)

The upper part (back support) tapers / thin compared to 68 and up.

thanks richard. looks like the link is broken, can you repost? also, i found these seats on BAT that are also 67 seats redone by tony. they look similar to mine in terms of finish and back support.

    I fixed the link.

Yours just doesn’t look like something Tony would send out of his shop unless the pictures you posted are screwed up.

It also looks like your seats were upholstered in a left and right side while they should have been identical since there was only a driver side (left) seat?

richard, the seats in the pic are upside down so wondering if what you circled didnt take that into account. as there being a left and right side, they are identical. maybe the angle or my camera is compensating and making the left/right sides to appear different.
