    Vic Elford TTG Driving Lights

I have the great pleasure of helping a customer in the U.K. restore a 1968L to the highest possible level rally car configuration. The build is inspired by Vic Elford's really car, number 208.

Can anyone help me identify those unusual TTG driving lights. They're huge and very thin. It would be fun to find and restore a set.

Also, do those look like the Euro reflector headlights with the 45w tungsten bulbs and no city lights?

And lastly, I'm interested in any NOS or restorable parts that you may have available.

    Thanks,
    John

    John,

I think that the TTG fog lamps might be Bosch. The chrome was painted black to reduce glare. Here’s something similar.

Thanks Eric. Did they typically use one fog and one driving light?

Interesting about the black. When I did my rally car I did the same thing - painted the back of chrome housings black.

With H1's. It looks like the horizontal mount you often see for H1 bulbs as they are too long to mount the other way. You can also see the inner disc.

They look somewhat like these but these are only 130mm - Carello PAJOD 130 H1 Driving Lights

Maybe they had a larger version?

I believe those are Cibie. They produced H1s as well and from what I’ve observed over the years, have a thinner profile than Carellos.

I’ve owned Carellos but, have not had the pleasure with Cibie lights.

https://www.willhaben.at/iad/kaufen-...paar-624884282 I found this in Austria, these looks very similar except they have H3 instead of H1, so they are out of a newer production
