    My Favorite TTG Driving Lights

OK, TTG lights look cool admittedly, but their primary purpose is to provide additional illumination. As you know, they come in two varieties, fog lights and driving lights. You can tell them apart by the lenses, heavily fluted on fig lights and clear on driving lights. Most, but not all, use halogen H3 bulbs.

Cibié has made the Cibié Oscar for many years. It's distinctive in that it uses H1 halogen bulbs instead of H3's. I'm not well acquainted with the current state of development of H3 bulbs but H1's have made giant strides in the past few years. Which means that mounting a pair of Cibié's is like mounting an extra set of headlights, except lower - and of course you can adjust them to fan out in order to illuminate the shoulders. Which is nice in areas like Central Oregon where we have a lot of critters roaming around at night. Of course we equip them with our recommended H1 bulbs, Tungsram MegaLite Ultra +120.

We have recently added these to our catalog as we build out our selection of fog and driving lights and related bits. We're currently having an Introductory Sale for our newly expanded department and everything, including these, is 10% off through Sunday.

These look fantastic John. Are the grills Eric’s,or another after market grill, and do they fit well?

I’ve got a set of Eric’s grills on my car at the moment, and they have been the only ones I’ve ever found to fit.other than originals, but restoring the finish has its own set of problems.

    Hi Tony....

After market grilles, I haven't had reports back about fit either way. Be tough to beat Eric though.

    Cheers,

How does one mount the Oscar’s to the SWB TTG brackets? I don’t think the mounting stud on the lights can thread right in like some of the smaller driving/dog lights.
