Fuel ventilation box 1972: how is it mounted?

On the drawing of the fuel system you have part nr 41, being the ‘container for bleeding’. However on the drawing, I do not find any strap/bracket/hardware to mount it.
I have found a picture on this forum where it looks like an elastic strap is holding it on the front to the hook. But where is it held on the back? Is this strap the normal way to do, or is there a part number?

You can access it better by going thru the combo gauge hole.

It was never clear to me if this system was exclusive to the United States? Or in a 1972/1974 order for the German market should I also have it?

All cars had it, it was just different between ROW & USA, where the venting left the front trunk.

Is the rubber ring on the drawing (with nr 42) the elastic which holds it? Part number 901.201.618.22?

Rubber ring was discontinued for years unless it's available again.

The rubber ring is (was) available from Parts Klassik (no affiliation). I think it has a different profile than the original rubber band (round rather the square-ish) but it works fine.

Official partnumber indeed NLA in the normal channels. Seems to be available at parts-wise , but found an solution in my spares in my garage.
i used a large o ring, which I reduced with a knot into it and was able to fit it. Thanks to edmayo for his suggestion to access through the combo gauge. This helped really a lot!!!
    Ready for the next challenge
