    fuel hose crimping tool question

I want to replace my fuel hose on the carbs. Wondering what type of crimping tool is used for the ferrules. Lots available with a huge price range. What works the best for at home use?

    thanks Jake

If you're referring to the 3 " long piece between the banjos I don't think they used a crimp ferrule. It was just a sleeve that slipped over the hose ends, but was not crimped. Any crimped hose ends used a Cohlin hose crimper just for the record.

The hose on the carburetors were not crimped but did use a collar sleeve . Brad Davis on this sight sells the exact replacement with the correct Cohline stamp , the ones from Porsche have no stamp .
The Cohline crimper you can buy today crimps 6 sides instead of the original 8 sided crimps . The hoses are crimped on the fuel line in front of the engine .

    Thanks Richy!

Jake, here are the caps that the factory used at the carburetor banjos.. As Richy described, they were not crimped.
