    Light binding from driveshaft /diff

Looking to tap into forum knowledge. There is a light bind and clonk coming from differential on the side that bolts into the gearbox housing. For purposes of description I will call this side A.

Initial inspection yields: Side A wheel off the ground bind and clonk rotating wheel back and forward at the point of the bind. Engine put in gear no movement. Side A back on the ground, side b elevated , rotating wheel side b , feel the same bind and clonk audible on side A. Gearbox in gear no movement no clonk.

I was hoping this was a worn cv joint but wondering if it could be coming from the diff, but looking in worship manual cannot see where such a noise bind might come from ?

    Grateful for thoughts or opinions?

Rich, if the axles are at odd angles to the CV joints, then the CV joints will probably not rotate smoothly...
