    Hello Frank
did you or somebody disassemble the door stop? In my opinion you should turn the arm with 180degrees. See your first picture, the curved part of the lever arm should show to the left(other side).
So pull out the arm, turn it and put it in again. Should work.

If you can't get the lever out with the springs still attached, then remove them and try again. Make sure you have the assembly clamped in a vice.

To bring the lever out with the springs is easy. The greater problem is to bring it in again. Clamp the part in a vice and take a short hammer blow to assemble the lever again. Didn´t take off the springs cause their force is very strong. GL Werner

One last tip: when the lever is out, check both plastic/alu rollers. Sometimes they are worn and not round any longer.

Thanks, but a little confused ….the arm has a lock nut , does it go thru hole in arm ?
Its been suggested I need to remove the arm and rotate …or is it need to be repositioned with a hammer blow to the arm ?
    thanks for more direction

Frank, the lock nut can remain. See your picture 3 first post:
Move the arm from left to right till it will fall out of the assembly. Needs some force or a hammer. When it is out of the assembly, rotate the arm and then the same procedure from right to left. Here you need for shure a hammer blow to insert the arm between the two rollers again.
At the end it looks in general again like picture 3 but the curved side of the arm ist not longer at the lower side but at the upper side. regards
