My 73S also has a power antenna, mounted on the passenger side and it works. My car was restored by the PO in 1987-88 so he probably had a new unit installed at that time but I can’t be certain.

Same here . . . my 73E has a factory power antenna mounted on the passenger (right) side and it works. Sometime in the '90s after the original unit (motor) failed, I replace the unit with an identical OEM type that continues to operate to this day.

This E apparently came with a non power antenna (option 9432), a speaker but no radio. So the antenna was on the left originally? Are the front fenders original paint?

What worries me a bit as well is the gloss black trunk and the wipers that are parked on the wrong side of the car. Great color either way

Black trunk is correct for a 69 Karmann car. Wipers are set for a RHD car but they are easily changed so maybe when it went to UK someone changed them to be consistent with a RHD car even though it was LHD.

I wonder if it still has the self leveling hydropneumatic front suspension?

69 911E"s are special as they only made 2500 of them , first year for fuel injection and they brought back solex cams for that one year.
