    Set of 4: 6.5 x 15 Minilites

For sale: set of 15x6.5 real Minilite wheels. I will also include the rare lug nuts and washers specific to these wheels. These powder coated semigloss black. If you want to change color they only need scuffing and repaint...
I had these Minilites on a SWB car and found them to be an awesome alternative to Fuchs. They are not perfect, but are in very, very good condition. These are cast Aluminum and about 1/2 way in weight between Fuchs and Steel KPZ's. I'm asking $1300 OBO and actual shipping costs

    Thanks for your interest,

    -Chuck

These wheels look nice but I have a couple questions.
Can someone please enlighten me...I am not a fan of powdercoating due to the difficulty in removing the coating. I guess the issue is similar to chroming and un-chroming wheels.
If someone wanted to return these to the cast aluminum finish, what would be involved? Or is it better to simply powdercoat an aluminum finish over the existing powdercoat?

Powder coating is a plastic based coating, a way to remove it is to burn the outer surface and then blast the surface. Given the substrate is aluminum, you would have to be careful

acid dip will do the trick...but don`t go to someone who can only dip steel.
powdercoat over existing powdercoat only works if the first layer isn`t to thick....
