    I guess it's possible for sure. I'm not sure where I read it, but I thought that I had seen E7 referenced as Continental Orange. It would be strange for Porsche to have a color with no name and only a color code. I think the marketing material would be somewhat dry without a better name than just 'orange'. Since I have all the period literature and manuals I will definitely be sure to look and see if I can pin it down.

    A few years back I had a continental orange 911 SC, 1982 PTS. The door jam tag told me nothing. The COA said PTS but not the color. Then one day I removed the passenger door panel. Under the virgin vapor barrier it was spelled out. Fan the pic open and it’s clear as a bell. Color 107, continental orange.

    Turns out that the color is simply E7 Orange, not Continental so thanks for setting me straight. When you look at the pictures of Rick’s SC it’s clear that Continental Orange is a bit more saturated. Speaking of which, here’s a few pictures after we had the paint corrected and the car ceramic coated.

    In trying to figure out how to accommodate the sport muffler, we decided that since the rear valance currently on the car has already been modified by a previous owner we were free to continue to do so. If I ever revert back to a factory stock muffler I'll have to get a new valance, but I would have had to anyway in order to make the car correct.
