    Heat shrink tubing

So, I got the double crimp tool and a bunch of German double crimp connectors from Bel Metric, now I just need some of the thick black heat shrink that the Germans used putting these cars together in the late sixties. First of all it's black, and a lot thicker than any heat shrink I have ever seen, it almost feels like rubber when you touch it. Has anyone found a vendor that sells this?
    Thanks in advance, Bob B

Thanks so much Moito, but my German isn't all that good. I only need to make 15 or 20 connections, so it would be nice to be able to just use my heat gun. Anything closer to California?

Bob, I have found the Wurth to be the closest, not as rubbery but looks correct. And uses a heat gun.

Panduit is a supplier of all sorts of shrink tubing, with or without additional interior sealants.

McMaster Carr, Grainger, Fastenal are go to distributors. Wouldn't surprise me if you couldn't get it through Amazon as well.

I believe the material you're referring to is conduit, not heat shrink. Looks the same, but conduit isn't designed to contract when heated. I used to buy it from Wurth USA, at present they seem to have a very limited set of sizes available here as Art#:1771112 and 077110 (12 and 10 mm resp.). I don't know of alternatives.

I got some shrink tubing on amazon that is marine grade (adhesive inside) and shrinks 4:1.
I like the results because it went over the large connector end and gripped the wire end also.
I am not home right now so I can't post a picture.

The tubing with sealant inside is good for electrical connections. Tight seal. Bel-Metric or McMaster Carr

Thanks to all. Some good information. I too would like to know the Wurth P/N if anyone has it.
