    73.5 engine compartment fuel lines

It’s been a while since I have assembled a 73.5 CIS car. This one came to me in boxes after restoration. My question concerns the fuel filter/accumulator on the left side of the engine compartment. There seems to be a conflict between the factory 73.5 training manual and a running car I looked at.
If someone with one of these cars could shoot a picture of the filter/accumulator that would be nice. The concern is if the filter is connected to the center of the accumulator, or off to the side of center. Picture will show what I mean.
    Thanks in advance.

The specific fuel filter for the 73.5 is NLA (or at least it has been for decades - maybe they are making it again). The picture appears to be the adapter to use the replacement filter.

Thanks Jay. That filter has a date code from 2004, and is the right filter, old stock from my stash. The car was a virgin and had the same filter. Car had been parked since the 90’s.

I had to get the filter conversion back in the early 90s.

Original filter on the left, replacement filter on the right.

Yup, I worked on these when they were new. I saw the filters both ways. Remember, 73 was the beginning for CIS on many Euro cars.

Sorry, I misread your question. I just looked at mine. The fuel accumulator does not have a center attachment. The attachments are both on the outside.

    Interesting
