That is the '68 smog pump system which also looks to be pretty much fully intact.

    Hi All,

Thanks for the comments. Not yet figured out why stored. I want to take this one very slow and first do a complete review of the body before diving in. I believe two owners. Seats have Elephant, while door cards and dash do not. Headliner is some type of elephant.

seats do not look original. to me that looks like a basket weave interior car. Golden green is one of the best colors. Smog pump might have to go as they tend to make the car run like crap. 911L cars are sought after. Only 540 US cars were made and 720 Row cars were made. Euro 911L's have the 912 bumper trim and no side reflectors. Also the headlights have a fluted lens. Is the engine aluminum or mag case ? Chris

Aluminum engine. I believe seats are original, as is the elephant headliner. My understanding is that many cars in 68 had mismatched interiors. They certainly appear original to me. But, I am a 68 novice !

the big plus on this car is the color and aluminum case. You have a winner. Chris

    you bought it, congratulations..bravo
great car…was really active thinking..but euro is too weak to make it a decent buy with transport & customs & tax….
I would start with a gentle wash to see what is under the dirt..
this would be my fav job…

This will be a golden green future…bravo again..
Looking forward to further news on this…

    best regards

And the one-off interior seems to be in pretty good state. Can't wait to see it after a wash!

Thanks all. I agree that the first wash will be fun. Ed, I will check on the bolsters. This is the headliner.
