Interesting thread. Do you think any concourse judges would even be able to tell? More just a curious question.

There is something with the roundness of the outer rim that makes a difference though. The Maxilite wheels on my Targa have an "almost there but not quite" feeling and the rounder rim of the Classic wheels reminds me of that.

1.New wheels arrived
2 New tyres arrived
3.Joined together by master technician Carl Jones
4. Making my car look better.
I have new centre caps and wheel nuts coming to finish the task but found that bending the prongs on a 66mm cap allowed then to still snap into place very firmly even on the 71mm centres.
The wheel and tyre combo looks perfect.
Much better than my picture orientation

Those are about the best reproduction wheels I have seen to date. Forged and about spot on. I can assure you that no PCA judge I have ever met (with the exception of Ed Mayo or Prescott Kelly) would be able to tell the difference. I am in complete agreement that if you are planning on driving your 911 in a spirited fashion it may be right to pause on using 50 year old wheels. I have only seen original Fuchs fail during track use, but still. Great info! Thank you.

Agreed.
What sizes and ET are available now?
Although 'Flat 7' (ET49) were never available back then but wouldn't it be great if Otto Fuchs start making this size as well? Imagine a proper humped tubeless 7R fuchs (albeit flat) fitted with 215/60R15 for narrow body 911?
p.s.
Can someone please rotate the pictures? My necks hurts.
This is from their website... I'm waiting for them to make the RSR finish and in 9 and 11 x 15...
