    Oh yeah, that was a blast. I was stationed in Alameda in the 80s and had a couple of visits back then to Mare and then used to golf there after they shut down. The course is now closed but it was a great feeling wandering around today. You can take the man out of the Navy but, you can’t take the Navy out of the man. Makes me want to go back out to sea.

    This was my first Luft. Never had the urge to put the effort to go to LA for it. Bay Area though, had to go! Being on Mare was the gravy.

    My daughter and I were just as struck by the architecture and history as we were with the automotive content.
