'. . . one of only 728 Porsche 911S Targas produced for the model year and comes finished in blue over a black leatherette interior. Serving as an excellent basis for a restoration or an ideal air-cooled driver's car, this 1970 example is said to have spent most of its life in California where it is now being offered for auction accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

. . . refinished in the current shade of blue. Equipment includes U.S.-specification bumperettes, anodized gold lettering, a chrome driver’s side mirror, a removable roof panel, 911S aluminum rocker moldings, and 15” Fuchs wheels. The seller notes several imperfections and rust bubbles are present throughout the exterior, additional images are provided in the gallery.

. . . cabin features black leatherette upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and the original Blaupunkt radio. A dashboard cover has been fitted over the original, some areas of rust are present, and the seller is unable to confirm if all gauges and accessories are working properly.

. . . air-cooled 2.2-liter flat-six engine was factory rated at 180 HP. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. The 911S comes standard with front and rear stabilizer bars and aluminum front brake calipers. The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows engine #6301995. The seller notes that this example was previously brought to a specialist with the intention of completing a full restoration, however, the project was abandoned once a fire broke out and compromised many mechanical parts including the original MFI pump and fuel filter. A new MFI fuel pump, clutch, throwout bearing, and several other replacement items are said to accompany the sale.

. . . sale will include a clean title, some documentation, several mechanical items, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity

That’s an interesting duck. Blacked out trunk that looks largely original. Wouldn’t expect to see that on a 70S.

    She’s pretty mangled underneath.

Motor is incorrectly stamped. The first digit is supposed to be a "6" but was stamped upside down for a "9"

If the 7/70 wheels are original, then the car is a very late 1970 MY car.

Which it is not; the car was completed before the wheels were made.
