    WTB: Airbox for 1969 911S/E

I am looking for the airbox and snorkel for my 1969 911S. Mine has a later '72 airbox that I am looking to replace (would trade also).

I am not sure what the part numbers are, so perhaps someone with a correct '69 can let me know what the correct setup is.

    Thanks.

Here are a few photos of my bone-stock ‘69 911S. Let me know if I can further assist you in any way.

    Good luck,

This is great, thanks. I know I have the wrong snorkel. I might have an entirely incorrect airbox.

Do you know which parts were unique to 69, and which were used in other years? I read here that the 69 was one year only design, but not sure if that is just the snorkel. Do you happen to know of a reliable source for part numbers for your car? I see the snorkel number in the pic, but am trying to figure out whether my other parts are correct, and what years I can get parts from.

BTW, car looks really clean. Impressive.

Why does your "bone stock " '69 have stickers on the coil and bracket ? they should not be there . The air filter preheat hose is routed correctly , nice , something that is often wrong .

I’ve got a MANN air box that is all metal that came off my ‘71E. It appears to be very similar (the same?) as the ‘69 box shown above. If it the same then I’ve got one.

Can any experts on air boxes confirm the ‘69E/S box was the same part (other than date stamps) as a ‘70/‘71E/S box?

    Richy:

You are correct…there shouldn’t be any stickers on a ‘69 according to everything I’ve read here. I removed them months ago…those were very old pictures. Bone stock status fully achieved (unless someone else can point out something else wrong).

    Many thanks,

I got a replacement and think it is close to correct or actually correct. Still not 100% certain what is different about 69 vs 70 snorkel. There were a few snorkels that look exactly the same with almost the same Mann part number, and I don't know if there are differences between them, or whether 69 cars around the world at all times came with the same 45 120 85 346 number, or if other numbers were used on some 69s as well such as 225 and 426.
