Little big auction near Le Mans (28th june, RSR, ST and prototypes for sale)

    Hello everyone,

It seems to me that I have not seen a post about this subject, so I took the initiative to inform you:

In a few weeks there will be an auction next to Le Mans. It's a special event called "The Six Auction" and it lists 6 racing Porsches that belonged to a Parisian, who bought all 6 of them at the same time from the famous Monegasque collector (I'll let you guess who it is).

    These 6 Porsches are more than interesting since there is a 906 (chassis 017), a 907 (chassis 007), a 908 (chassis 004), a 911 2.8 Carrera RSR (chassis 1033), a real 911 2.3 ST ’70 (chassis 1270), and an unrestored (!!) 911 3.0l RSR (chassis 9075).

I don't teach anyone anything, each has race history:

    - 906 (906-017) : 1966 24h of Daytona class winner, Targa Florio 1966

    - 907 (907-007) : Brands Hatch 1967, press car

    - 908 (908-004) : 1000kms Monza 1968, Spa 1968

    - 911 2.8l RSR (911.360.1033) : aka Mary Stuart « Défense Mondiale », Tour de France 1973 and 1975

    - 911 2.3l ST (911.130.1270) : One of 2 1971’s “Le Mans Version”

    - 911 3.0l RSR (911.460.9075) : Silverstone 6 hours (77,78,79), Brands Hatch 6 hours (77,79,80)

"The Six Auction" take place the 29th June, “the Friday of Le Mans Classic” at 8pm near Le Mans.

I’m not paid for this I only give infos !!

So is it on the 28th, the 29th, or the 30th which is actually a Friday?

Is this the RM auction or a separate one?

    I'm sorry frederik, my mistake.

The auction is the thursday, the 28th of June.

The auction is a separate one of the RM auction, you can now see which cars will be sold at the RM auction and this 6 aren't on it.

The details for this auction state:

"This magnificent collection of Porsche is being auctioned at the request of the agency for the management and recovery of seized and confiscated assets (AGRASC).

Valuing seized assets to preserve their price, managing and selling confiscated assets to replenish the state budget are among the credos of this public institution founded in 2010. Placed under the supervision of the ministries of Justice and Budget, Agrasc's mission is to implement the property decisions of the French judicial courts and thus give substance to the adage that "crime does not pay".

Anyone know what the story is here?!

Is there a link to the auction to get to the original information ? If so why not simply post it thereby avoiding all the confusion over date etc ?
