Seal/Shim under door striker plante, is it factory?

I found this under the door striker plate:

Is it possible, that they are original for a early car. Mine is from february 1965.
Maybe in the same way as the fender to cowl seals were made out of leatherette?

    Best regards from switzerland

I think its a good idea for shim material.

But, I think the holes would probably be better made.
The 356 used fabric gasket on the torsion bar covers, so the idea of vinyl isn’t a far stretch.
