72 Oil door rod and latch painted or not

Had the 72 oil door latch, rod and screws of the door mount been painted like the fuel door latch or not?

Typically the latch was painted on the car by the factory. The early latches weren't removable but later they were. I always paint them as that's what I've always seen on original 72's.

The rod wouldn't have been painted.
