    Rear hub install question

Upgraded my trailing arms to 75 aluminum ones. Replaced the bearings and front bushings. Ready to install the hubs and axles from the original arms. Does anyone know if you grease the inside of the bearing as you reinstall the hubs? Guess it can't hurt.

Did your 75 arms come with hubs?

No I was planing on using the axles and hubs from the old arms. No good?

No, you don't grease the inside of the hub bearing, the hub is pressed into that bearing. There is a tooling set that allows for the hub to be pulled into the bearing while supporting the inner race of the hub bearing so as to not push the inner race out.

Ed and Scott are more qualified to answer your question about mating the old hub with the later arm, but if I recall correctly the old hub is shorter since the bearings on the steel arms are narrower.

I had to use a spacer when installing newer hubs in steel arms

Guys, please step in and correct me if I’m wrong
