Thread: 69 to 73 dash top replacement options

69 to 73 dash top replacement options

I am on the look out for a replacement dash top and speaker cover for my 1969 911T.

Ideally I would love a good original replacement. Doesn't have to be perfect as anything is better than what i have.

Just looking around I see all of these "new" replacements from Turkey. I am assuming this is where replacements are made?

    see:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/19385896319...3ABFBMktjMn89i

My car is so imperfect that anything would be an upgrade, however, is this Turkey sourced dash the same as Lakewell or Suncoast?

Just trying to determine how many "new" options are out there or is there really only 1 manufacturer?

    Respectfully
    Peter

I can't help you with the dash per se, but I do have a NOS 1969 speaker cover if that would help you.

What are the 69’ speaker grill dimensions? as compared to the later 4 years? Please!

Thank you for all of the responses.
I am not aware of 1 year only difference in 1969. Forgive me if I am wrong. But i thought 1968 was a 1 year only dash top.

And forgive me if thinking the turkish sourced dash replacement is comparable to the Lakewell dash.
Only the price of the Turkish one makes you question if its too good to be true.
I realize you get what you pay for.

Even still it is worth the conversation to discuss and share good information for those who need a dash replacement.

looks to me the only difference between a 69 and 70 dash is the size of the speaker grill.

I think '69 speaker grills have four clips at the corners rather than four pegs...it makes them easier to spot.

Talking of '69 only dashboards....I very much need a RHD one for my car which has a very strange dash cover.....anything considered....I know its not going to be an easy find but if you don't ask.............

The Porsche dash is the best one at this time. I've seen them all.
