Hi all

Through the course of my car hobby I have designed and fabricated a few tools where I could find none to suit my needs. I've gone on to sell some of them which has been a rewarding experience, helping other DIYers and paying down my tool habits. I designed and sold a factory fusebox integrated H4 relay kit for the 964, a Top Dead Center finder and valve seal installer for the Alfa twin cam as well as an engine mount adapter for same.

My early 912 needed a lot of work, starting with sand blasting, so I set about to make a stable dolly for it to live on as it traveled to the blaster, then the metal worker, then back home to me, then the painter. I'm very happy with how its performed through all that and am debating offering them for sale. The design connects to the front and rear suspension mounting points. I would offer these as the four laser cut from 1/4in plate and TIG welded "corner pieces" meaning the plate which connects to a caster, the vertical standard and in the case of the front, the horizontal piece. I could include or omit hardware, I believe it makes sense to omit as each caster will have slightly different geometry and folks may have hardware to re-use. Buyers would supply the cross-bars to tie the assembly together as these can be just about anything (I used scrap angle) and dimensions will vary SWB-LWB. You also supply casters. I used these casters - and they are EXCELLENT.

Based on today's prices and my TIG welding labor / consumables, the price would likely be $400 for the set.

Please tell me what you all think. And preemptive apologies that I'll cross post this a few places as 912 / later aircooled folks may not be reading this forum.
