    73S - What am I grounding?

Anyone know what this (double) wire is grounding? Comes from above the fuel filter on a 73S.
Any reason not to connect to location shown behind filter?

    Thanks for the help.

Should be the ground for your license lights.

License lights is the single ground. The double ground is coming off of the main harness. Not sure exactly what it grounds at this moment but I'd definitely hook it up.

Correct. For what it's worth they are together with these two wires a red w/ black stripe (auxilary starting relay?) and a pink w/ white (speed switch?). Presumably one ground each? Maybe the reason for the occasional back fire under engine braking??

Rear window defroster. All those ungrounded circuits, sure is a careless mechanic.

    Mr. Mayo,

I couldn't figure why in the world a harness would be coming from a not so ideal location. Duh! The rear window defrost.

Fantastic! Truly gratefully for yours and every ones help on even the little things like this.
