    Porsche 'geburtskunde' question

    Hi all,

A friend of mine purchased a very nice 911 2.4E Targa (Hellgelb!) an early 1972 car. When we look at the option list it showed a lot of good options. For example the Sport Seats and the rear 'Heckscheibenwischer'! Both very nice options in my opinion.

Two things I do not understand: Option 432: 'Sicherheitsbemalung Schwartz' does anybody know what that is?

The other question: Innenausstatung: 10 : Kunstleder Schwarz / Sitzeinlage Perforiert. Does anybody know what kind of upholstery that is? I know the perforated bolsters but the 'sitzeinlage'? Thats the seating cushion. If somebody has a picture? Greatly appreciated

    Greetings

    Adriaan

That’s interesting… so M432 is the through the grille option… in the case ‘schwarz’ so the housing was black?? Never seen one like that

If it helps on my price list from model year 1973 says the M432 option was “iodine long range driving lights above bumper”. This tallies (ignoring the omission of “quartz”) with Hugh’s comments. Source is the British sole importers original typed accessories one page price list dating from the day — not a recent translation or reproduced list so expect it was correct. No mention of the black vs chrome but wouldn’t a black back on similar Hella be a 914 accessory item around 72/3?

For the Recaro sport seats the combination smooth material on the outside and perforated material on the inlets has nothing to do with the former perforations and nothing with the often used G-model perforation.

I think it is called "Feinstperforation" in German, in the English translation it is called "perforiert ".

All this in regard to the Sport seats, do not know what versions of the serial seats were offered.

Here you can see the correct perforation for the Recaro sport seats.
