TEKA SWB Seat Belt clip repair help

I have 3-point TEKA belts in my 67 and some of the clips (that keep the hooks attached to the anchor bolts) have broken off, or are about to. Any suggestions on repairing these parts? It seems I might have to attempt to fabricate new clips? These appear to be rare belts, so finding new parts would probably be quite difficult.

    Thanks for the help.

If I were faced with that task I would measure the internal width of the broken keeper and then the thickness of the metal. Then I'd order some flat bar that matched the width of the opening and that is wider than the depth of your part by 1/4"and some low carbon steel sheet. Make an over-sized template from paper by wrapping over the broken part and cut out a few blanks from the sheet material. Then, clamp bar and sheet into your vise with top of bar level to top of jaws in the vise. Use a brass hammer to form a 90 degree bend in the sheet steel. Now, rotate the bar and the 90 degree part in your vise so that the second leg of the bend is vertical, the width of the bar should clamp the spine of the new part within the jaws of the vise. Use the brass hammer to make the second bend. You can clamp the finished clip in the vise and peen the spine to sharpen the bends.

Once you have the basic formed part it is an easy matter to profile the part to match the original and to drill the hole.

Then it is off to the chrome platers.

Kind of what I had in mind. Thanks for the detailed directions. I don't want to give up on these rare original belts.
