1970 911S Recaro sport seat info needed

    Hi everyone,

I am in the process of restoring Recaro sport seats for a customer with a 1970 911S.
I was looking for a couple of specific infos regarding some finish.

-The lever for backrest adjustment (the one attached to the hinge) should it be black or silver zinc-plated?

-What is the proper finish for the hinges? Black "grainy" finish?

-What about the finish for the bases? (the full-tilting bases)

Is it correct to have the adjuster for fore-and-aft with a round knob whereas the tilt and backrest are stamped recaro?

Anyone knows of a thread here or elsewhere with full pictures of a restoration process?
I do take a lot of pictures as I am doing it but an additionnal reference is always good!

    Thanks,
    Claude

Zinc clear on the levers. No round knob, only the Recaro marked. Consoles are a straight satin black. Hinges are black splatter finish. Not a crinkle finish.

Ok, mostly what I thought! That is appreciated.
Last thing about the bases, is it possible they were brush painted and the brush marks were noticeable?

Anyone have info about the washer for the backrest inner pivot point. It is marked next to the circlip.
p/n 91152113000. It is NLA and I don't see any photos with it, what finish it should have, dimensions, etc.
I guess it mounts between the criclip and the bracket of bottom frame, or does it go between backrest and bottom frames?

Look up :”Recaro Seat hinge restoration” on, You Tube under Mike’s Restorations.

Stoddard sells a replacement washer for the seat hinge. It is a phenolic resin material
I also found another set of washers for sale on Stoddard for hinge rebuild. I’ll look up the part #s and post

Here are the part listings on Stoddard Porsche Parts:

NLA 521-003-00 Seat recliner repair set: w/nylon,brass & locking washers for one seat.

    644-521-793-05 Phenolic spacer for seat hinge; fits 356B 356C and 911 912 1965-1973

From what I see these would be the washer/spacer that goes in between the hine and the seat backrest. The one I am looking for is on the other side of the backrest. At the pivot point where it is held by a circlip.

Stoddard also has part:NLA-356-564-64 Rubber Seat Recliner Mechanism Grommet for 356C and early 911/912 up to 1973
Is this what you are liiking for?

Thanks for the help but unfortunately no.
This seems to be for Comfort seat and to go inside the recliner mechanism.
I am looking for a washer (I believe metal) for the inside pivot point of a sport seat, i.e. the pivot point of the backrest close by the handbrake lever.
Comfort seats have 2 full brackets, sport seat have a bracket on the outside and a pivot point held by a circlip on the inside.

What size are the washers, finish and placement i.e. between the circlip and the bottom frame or between the backrest and bottom frame and circlip lies directly on the bottom frame?

See next post for photos (PET catalog with part number and a partial location) and the pivot point I am speaking of.
